Inclusive, cozy, magical
— Describe your store in three words

Tell us the story of your bookstore’s origin.

December of 2023. We have three children, each incredibly different from each other, and at different places in their connection to reading. We struggled in bigger bookstores and we needed help finding things that met their particular interests, maturity, and reading levels. One morning I literally woke up from a dream about a children's bookstore and the rest has been an incredibly fast, challenging, exciting, and fulfilling experience!

What makes your bookstore special?

PBB is a children-focused bookstore built on the belief that reading for fun is essential to a child’s development. Too often, kids fall out of love with reading somewhere between learning how to read and being expected to read to learn, so our mission is to help bridge that gap.

Our goal is for every reader to experience the magic books can bring. We’ve carefully curated a space that feels welcoming and comfortable for children of all ages, where curiosity is encouraged and stories feel accessible.

Every book on our shelves is hand-selected, and we host events and book clubs designed to meet readers throughout their reading journey.

Pick 5 books to represent your bookstore:

Itty-Bitty Kitty Corn is our favorite book in the whole store. Nobody can resist the charm of Kitty and her best friend Unicorn. Nobody.
We also enjoy all things dragons, including the cozy middle grade graphic novel, Kindred Dragons. Author Sarah Mensinga is in Dallas and came down for a fantastic visit and book signing. Local author Greg Foley also hits this list with his graphic novels, Dex Dingo!
1984 is the classic classic that all of our young adults gravitate toward, and Fourth Wing determines all of owner Stephanie Robertson's life decisions.
