Thanks for joining us on the 2025 Book Trail!
The Austin Texas Book Trail is an annual bookstore crawl dedicated to celebrating the literary spirit and supporting local independent bookshops in the greater Austin area. Each year, we gather bookstores in Austin and surrounding areas for a one-weekend “Book Trail,” with participating stores offering exclusive discounts, prizes, and/or activations to serve and build community. Our mission is to uplift newer bookstores, cherish the old, and energize the local literary community — readers, booksellers, and bookstore owners alike.

“For this poster, we wanted to feature some fun and whimsical Austin animals on the move.
The Austin Texas Book Trail is called a bookstore crawl, but crawling’s not the only way to participate — the critters on this poster are swimming, flying, slithering and bounding between our featured local shops.”
Strawberry Milkweed Prints is an Austin-based printmaking shop. She specializes in linocut block prints and carves each stamp herself out of rubber. She’s inspired by creatures both real and mythological, and her style is influenced by folk art, especially medieval woodcuts.
